The San Francisco Vegetarian Society is celebrating its 4th World Vegetarian Day Festival and 35th Anniversary Celebration at the San Francisco County Fair Building (Hall of Flowers at 9th Avenue & Lincoln Way) in Golden Gate Park on October 4, 2003 (Saturday). We have an estimated 20,000 square feet of space for the event. This annual event is a very well attended celebration in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Last year, we estimated a couple of thousand people in attendance and we anticipate doubling the attendance this year. The overall purpose of the event is to promote the great health, environmental, compassionate, and ethical benefits of a plant-based diet. You are cordially invited to join, celebrate and participate in our 4th World Vegetarian Day Festival. It is our goal to introduce more and more people to vegetarianism / veganism and to plant-based products. We intend to make this a fun celebration with exhibits, entertainment, food sampling, well-known national speakers, compassionate fashion shows, cooking demonstrations, silent auctions, raffles, etc. We look forward to an exciting celebration with your participation and support. Sincerely yours, Joseph Cadiz WVD Committee
