The San Francisco Vegan Society proudly presents San Francisco VegFest, formerly known as the World Vegan Festival—a joyful celebration of plant-based living that inspires people to embrace a more ethical, healthy, and sustainable way of life.
Now in its 27th year, SF VegFest returns to the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption - Event Center for a vibrant community celebration featuring engaging speakers, talented vegan chefs, influencers, comedians, and over 80 exhibitors. Come connect, learn, and explore all things vegan as we celebrate World Vegan Day and the creativity and compassion that make this community thrive.

The 38 Geary stops right next to the Cathedral in both directions: westbound at Geary Blvd & Gough St, and eastbound (toward downtown) at Starr King Way & Gough St.
Note: The 38R Geary Rapid does NOT stop at Gough. The nearest Rapid stops are at Geary & Laguna (about a 5-minute walk) and at Van Ness Ave.
The 47 and 49 stop on Van Ness Ave, two blocks east of the Cathedral
The 31 Balboa stops on Eddy St at Gough, two blocks southof the Cathedral

From Bay Bridge / Oakland: take I-80 W → merge onto 101 N → exit Civic Center / Van Ness → Gough St
From Golden Gate Bridge: US-101 S → Lombard/Van Ness exit → continue south → Gough St

💡 What to do
Aim to arrive 10:15–10:45am for easiest parking
Expect typical weekend rates in paid lots
Street parking is possible but limited and time-restricted in many areas
Rideshare is easy on Gough or Van Ness if you don’t want to deal with parking

All attendees, by registering, agree that their image and person may be photographed or videotaped as part of the audience. SFVS reserves the right to use any images or video captured during its festival for promotional and marketing purposes.
