The San Francisco Vegan Society proudly presents San Francisco VegFest, formerly known as the World Vegan Festival—a joyful celebration of plant-based living that inspires people to embrace a more ethical, healthy, and sustainable way of life.
Now in its 27th year, SF VegFest returns to the SMC Event Center for a vibrant community celebration featuring engaging speakers, talented vegan chefs, influencers, comedians, and over 80 exhibitors. Come connect, learn, and explore all things vegan as we celebrate World Vegan Day and the creativity and compassion that make this community thrive.

From Bay Bridge / Oakland: take I-80 W → merge onto 101 N → exit Civic Center / Van Ness → Gough St
From Golden Gate Bridge: US-101 S → Lombard/Van Ness exit → continue south → Gough St
From South Bay: US-101 N → Octavia/Market exit → Van Ness → Gough St

Sutter Plaza Garage (very solid backup)
Japan Center Garage (usually has space on weekends)
CPMC Van Ness garages (hit or miss but nearby)

💡 What to do
Aim to arrive 10:15–10:45am for easiest parking
Expect typical weekend rates ($$$ but not surge pricing)
Street parking is possible but limited and time-restricted in many areas
Rideshare is easy on Gough or Van Ness if you don’t want to deal with parking
SFVS will have photographers and videographers on staff recording the event. All attendees, by registering, agree that their image and person may be photographed or videotaped as part of the audience.
